Sending a newsletter

Viewing the newsletter list, click on the newsletter that you want to send out to the member base.  Check the following details are correct:

  • Subject - set
  • Published - set to yes
  • HTML version - scroll down to the HTML version and read through the details written and the information is correct;
  • Lists - scroll back to the top and in the box
    • Attachments;
    • Sender information;
    • Metadata;
    • Inbox actions;
    • Lists

Click on Lists and you needs to be set to the member group that is the target.  In the video below the target group is Newsletters 2021.  Check the to the right of the list item you want to use.

Once the above steps have been reviewed and updated, click Save.

Send the newsletter

Click on Preview / Send

Before sending the newsletter to the member base, I recommend sending a preview to yourself.  In the box title Send a test, enter your email address in the email field.  For clarity in the comment field, enter a phrase that expresses this send is a test.  So something like, Test send out or Cross checking the newsletter... or what suits you best.

Click Send a test

Go to your emails and an email the test newsletter should come through quite quickly.  Within a few minutes.  Read through the newsletter and confirm the content is correct.

Ready to send?  Once you have performed the above and the newsletter is ready to go, click Send.  Leave the window open while the newsletter is being sent.  Yes you can open another tab or window to browse the net.
