Today while in Terminal, I ran a regular script pod update. However, this time I received the following error
[!] CDN: trunk URL couldn't be downloaded: https://raw.githubusercontent.com/CocoaPods/Specs/master/Specs/d/a/2/Alamofire/5.1.0/Alamofire.podspec.json Response: Timeout was reachedI read on GitHub that it could be a cache issue, so I ran:
sudo rm -rf ~/.cocoapods/repoNo change.
Instead of attempting a pod update, I changed the command to pod install. Worked a treat....

While the Drupal site has a great outline of the steps to follow, I found we needed to tweak so the update would work for us. I found the update process from 8.7.10 to 8.8.0 that worked on our sites was as follows
Starting with ssh
composer update # To update any dependencies
Transfer the Drupal 8.8.0 tar gz file
Either using command line or FTP, transfer drupal-8.8.0.tar.gz to your respective directory.
Back to ssh
unpack the the drupal-8.8.0.tar.gz - see our update...
